The aim of the course is to help students acquire the basic knowledge and skills for the effective composition and evaluation of a business plan.

The course focuses on the following sections:

• Types of businesses, elements of law
• Funding and Financial Management: Working Capital, Growth – funding – loss of control, performance monitoring
• Business processes – The role of quality in business
• Production, Inventory and Supply Chain Management
• Market analysis and research – Marketing Planning
• Distribution – Sales – Pricing and credit
• Development of Products and Services
• Human resources management
• Evaluation and planning of investments – budget
• Funding for the start-up of new businesses
• Management of business names (brandnames, trademarks)
• Development of business partnerships

The course is offered by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit of the University of Thessaly (MOKE).
