COURSE DESCRIPTION
Studio class that aims to develop an introductory toolbox for hands-on skills and studio-based methods of conceptual exploration and critical thinking about the creative act. A variety of design techniques, modes of representation and mediation critically examine the standard processes of perceiving and understanding the artwork from the perspective of the creator. The workshop consists of a series of lectures and projects that focus on a variety of artistic media through exercises: observation, recording, documentation, analy-sis and composition with the aim of producing original work. Major artworks are presented and examined as statements for cultural heritage and contemporaneity.
