Research Interests: Audiovisual media, Cinema-History and theory, Narration, Cultural Memory, trauma and identities, Cultural representations in cinema and audiovisual media, Audiovisual archives- digitization of audiovisual content and utilization of audiovisual heritage.

 

 

Sandra Nikolic holds a degree in Social Anthropology from the Department of History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology of the University of Thessaly. She received her Master of Arts degree in Film and Media Studies in 2008 and her PhD degree in 2014 in Film and Media Studies from the University of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. She took part in several research projects that aim to digitize and document historical and cultural archives and to map cultural heritage. She is the author of several studies which have been published in national and international magazines, as well as of the monographs: Narration and contemporary film: Hollywood model, (2012) and Deleuze, Memory and War Film, Triumphal Narrative of the American Cinema, (2017). She has written articles in critical journals and chapters in publications. She has participated in scientific conferences in Greece and abroad.
