Charalampos Dantis is a postdoctoral demographic researcher at Democritus University of Thrace and an academic fellow at the University of Thessaly. He studied law at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, while his master’s and doctoral degrees are in demography (UCLouvain). The topic of his doctoral dissertation concerned the socioeconomic and cultural causes of low fertility in twelve European countries.
His research interests focus on issues such as fertility, mortality, and morbidity, and his studies have been presented at international conferences in Athens, Berlin, Prague, and elsewhere. Alongside his research work, he has taught courses in sociology and social statistics at Democritus University of Thrace, the Athens University of Economics and Business, the University of the Aegean, and the University of Thessaly.
