Cultural Management
The Department of Culture, Creative Media and Industries offers a series of workshops and theoretical courses focusing on the organisation of culture and the institutions of cultural policy planning and practice.
Creativity and Cultural Industries
Pop-up shops, start-up companies, new objects and services, new relationships between the creator and the consumers, handmade creations, recycling material and robotic technology: Students learn about the perspectives that contemporary creative entrepreneurship opens up in the field of culture.
Visual Arts, Creative Media and Practices
The Department provides a dynamic platform of creative media and applications: Production through plastic and craft materials in relation to visual techniques, analogue and digital design, photography, moving image, graphic design, digital image, digital storytelling, performance, creative writing. Students engage with a variety of art production practices and learn-by-making, so that to explore aesthetic approaches while developing their own creative abilities.
Humanities and Digital media
During your studies at the Undergraduate program, you will learn the process of designing and implementing digital applications within the cultural content for further use in libraries and archives as well as in various physical sites such as the museums.
Art Education
The Department provides courses in art education emphasizing on the cultivation of artistic skills and teacher training. Students will learn how to plan and implement educational actions and programs related to art context, individual expression and creativity.
Anthropology, Visual culture and Representation
Students will gain extensive knowledge in anthropological practices and get familiar with the participatory observation developing further skills on describing, observing and understanding of the contemporary society. Also, students will elaborate on various forms of visual culture and representations and become familiar with the practices of documentary film and photography.
Contemporary Art and Curatorial practices
By a plethora of undergraduate courses, the Department offers you the opportunity to get familiarized with current artistic trends, introducing the curatorial point of view for organizing exhibitions and activities in museums, galleries, art institutions and other cultural spaces.
Portfolio
Students of the Department of Culture, Creative Media and Industries are encouraged to develop their own creativity by being trained and experimented in a range of cultural, visual, audiovisual and digital practices related to contemporary culture. See, the projects implemented by students of the Department under the guidance of the teaching and research staff.
