Culture and Digital Media Laboratory

profile

The Culture and Digital Media Laboratory (CDM Lab) responds to the contemporary needs of research on issues related to the intersection of cultural studies with digital media. The mission of the CDM Lab is to become a place of research and education in issues related to:

  • the design and development of digital tools for humanists
  • the design and development of digital applications for cultural and heritage institutions
  • the use of visual and digital media in social and art research.

The objects of research of the CDM Lab are included in the fields of Digital Heritage, Digital Culture and Visual and Material Culture, Cultural Tourism and Digital Tourism, Cultural Software, Art Research, Digital Exhibitions and Digital Museums. These are areas that are at the state-of-the-art research, precisely because they connect academic research with the creative process and entrepreneurship, as well as the Academy with societal bodies. At the same time, they transfer know-how and skills to young researchers and future practitioners in the relevant fields.
