Research Interests: Curating – Publication Editor – Contemporary Art

Eva Vaslamatzi (Athens, 1990) is an independent curator and writer currently working in Athens. Since 2014, she has collaborated with public and private art institutions in Greece and France such as the Athens School of Fine Arts, Haus N Athen, the annexM Center for Visual Arts of the Athens Concert Hall, the Palais de Tokyo, the Fondation d’Entreprise Ricard. She has worked as a publication editor and has participated with her texts in exhibition catalogs, art publications and digital platforms. Between 2017 and 2019 she was the co-curator of visual arts at the non-profit space DOC! (Paris). Between 2018 and 2021 she curated an educational project for artists and adolescents with mental disabilities for the Orange Rouge association (Paris). She holds a BA in Theory and History of Arts from the Athens School of Fine Arts, and two MA’s: in Aesthetics and in Curatorial Practice from the Paris-Sorbonne University. In 2018, she participated in the ΝΕΟΝ Curatorial Exchange Program in collaboration with Whitechapel Gallery in London and in May-June 2021 she was curatorial resident in SAHA association in Istanbul. Eva Vaslamatzi was a recipient of the 2019/2020 ARTWORKS Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship (curating category).
