Research interests: digital culture – art and technology – networked ecologies – digital performance

Ioanna Zouli is a researcher and curator. Her research interests focus on digital culture, online ecologies as well as contemporary image culture. She holds a BA in Communication and Media Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Αthens and an MA (with distinction) in Digital Culture and Technology from the Department of Digital Humanities, King’s College London. Her PhD was a collaborative research between Tate Modern and London South Bank University; an embedded ethnography at Tate exploring the contemporary art museum’s understanding(s) of digital, network culture and audiences, through the case study of the ‘BMW Tate Live: Performance Room’ programme. Her PhD research was funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), the Greek State Schοlarships Foundation (IKY) as well as the A.G. Leventis Foundation.
