The Department of Culture and Creative Media and Industries offers an array of studio classes and theoretical courses that explore curatorial practice in the context of exhibitions, collections, museums and the wider field of cultural heritage. These courses explore curatorial practice in its applied/professional aspects, and also approach exhibitions as cultural phenomena. The courses are interdisciplinary and draw on the history and theory of art as well as other neighbouring fields, such as history, social anthropology, architecture and cultural studies.

Students are further acquainted with digital technological tools as regards museums and collections. These skills become particularly crucial in the context of training students in the light of their future professional goals. This follows wider global trends in which cultural institutions collaborate with sectors in tech and business so as to experiment with and create new experiences for the public in new formats, while exploring the limits of technology itself.
